This format was very popular in schools and businesses for many years due to its low cost and ease of use. But it lost ground when digital video cameras became more affordable. Consequently, Kodak discontinued production of Super 8 Sound film in 2005. However, many people still want to digitize their Super 8 recordings so they can be more easily stored and shared or archived for posterity.

Once your reels are received, our technicians will handle them with the utmost care and attention. They will assess whether the reels are in good condition before being converted into digital files. If they require any repair, you will be notified immediately to decide how to proceed with the transfer.

If there is an issue with any of the films, we’ll let you know so that you can decide about whether to proceed with the transfer. If a necessary repair is possible, we will as your approval to proceed with it as long as it can be undertaken without compromising the integrity of your original recordings.

Next, your film reels will be digitized. Our technicians will individually scan each frame of your film in a digital format of your choice to ensure the highest possible quality result for your requirements.

Finally, your newly digitized film will be migrated to your choice of USB key, DVD, external hard drive or any other device of your choice. Once we've finished working with your Super 8mm sound reels, we will return them to you along with the digital files we created from them.
